You are identified only by a 'Screen name':

• Your screen-name is different from your username.
• Your screen name is system generated and includes your specialty or subspecialty and a random 5 digit number. (eg. Gastro25621, Cardio54169 etc.)
• Your screen name is known only to you - akin to your password. Even our system administrator does not know or can access your screen name.

At the time of registration as a physician, we do not collect any information that can reveal your real-life identity

• We do not collect any identifying information about you or your email address at the time of registration.
• After registration, the system identifies you only based on password, PIN and your answers to security questions, which are known only to you (we strongly discourage you sharing those with anyone, not even your close associates).
• As a result, your real life identity is completely safe from even the most sophisticated hackers in the world.

This platform is designed to ensure that you do NOT inadvertently reveal your screen-name

• We recommend that while creating your username, you don't use your real name in your username.
• Your screen-name is not displayed on the screen even when you are logged into the system. Therefore, even if you inadvertently leave your computer when you are 'logged on' into this system, still nobody can find out your screen-name.
• Even when you are logged into the system, we ask you to enter your PIN or answer a security question for performing any task with even a remote potential to reveal your identity.
• Your email address to receive daily updates is de-linked from your screen-name or any identifying information about you in our databases. It will NOT compromise your anonymity on this Forum
• THE ONLY WAY SOMEONE CAN CONNECT YOUR REAL-LIFE IDENTITY WITH YOUR SCREEN NAME IS IF YOU YOURSELF REVEAL YOUR SCREEN-NAME TO OTHERS. FOR OBVIOUS REASONS, WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU DON'T.
• Even if your reveal your screen name to others (inadvertently or deliberately), there is no way for anyone to establish that 'your account' was actually created and used by you (complete deniability)

We realize that our security features may make the system slightly less user-friendly (during registration). Our TOP PRIORITY is to protect your screen name from being ever linked to your real life identity.
